sultry night -
the smell of jasmine
and old oranges
उमस वाली रात -
सुगन्ध चमेली की

old forest -
a winged seed spirals
through warm air
पुराना वन -
एक पंखवाला बीज़ घुमड़ रहा
गर्म हवा में





failing eysight -
we sing only the carols
we know by heart
कमज़ोर होती दृष्टि -

under the wisteria
his old cane chair
unravels
